Eikoku Koi Monogatari Emma (2005 anime)

sweet, simple, and heart warming anime. Sure, it's by the book Cinderella scenario that it's well known of and nothing more can be drawn out of it. The ending was predictable but doesn't explain any of the hardships that is known to follow that they are afraid of at first. Hardships that marring the maid would ruin their social status or tarnish their family name in the society.. It's just simply put as happily ever after with four children? Sure it's questionable indeed. What is it about the mother. Was she really ill or was she just tired of the classy society that lives on gossip she was surrounded by? Will that be the fate of Emma? I guess Mrs stowner was knowledgeable about the mother is a country women so she knew Emma would fit in just well. In the end her appearance to advise Emma is strange but sure, brings back some memories. Well, simple anime fits well with simple times. Job well done.
